Denim, Denim, Everywhere!

It seems like everywhere I look, all I see is DENIM!

Since I wrote my post on My Perfect Jeans, I have seen so many denim on denim posts to keep me salivating for a long time. In the past couple of weeks, a few of the style bloggers I follow have also featured denim on denim looks on their blogs (great minds do think alike).

In the light of my recent discovery, I decided to feature the looks I love the most. It’s amazing to see different interpretations of the same look. Here are a few from the bloggers I follow:

I think that is enough Denim to last us all for the rest of the year!

    Hi Tosin AK,
Whats your take on denim-on-denim for men?

    • Awww @ Sanmi LA, thanks for stopping by! i absolutely love denim-on-denim for guys…i think the key is layering different washes…that’s probably why JT’s look still doesn’t work lol!

  2. Lol. @ the.not ok to do this post!

My favorite is the Stella from Jadore-Fashion.

Keep the the style tips coming!

  3. LOVE this! Great looks that had me wanting to pin and wear! Thank you! So glad I found your blog too!

  4. I have been on the hunt for a pair of jeans for the past 3 weeks. I have to try on at least a dozen pair before I find one that I’m happy with. I have wide hips and thighs but a small waist which makes it hard. Thanks for the suggestions! Visiting from #sitsblogging.

  5. I love the look of your blog. So pretty. I love jeans. I might not have the best figure for them, but I love them. Wear them all the time even down here in Florida. I don’t think I could ever wear the high, high heals with them though. I still like the penny loafer style. Great post.

  6. I love these looks, especially the first one with the purse! Jeans are so versatile and every woman needs a good pair of jeans!

By the way, I’m visiting from the SITS Comment Love Party. Have a great week!

  7. You can’t go wrong with denim! Especially when it’s the right fit!

  8. I love jeans so much, although I find it challenging to find a right cut for myself. However, not too big fun of denim-on-denim concept.

Glad to find your blog through SITS comment marathon.

  9. I have always been opposed to denim on denim until this year. It’s all of a sudden everywhere and when I tried it…surprise…I really liked it! Stopping by from SITS.

    • Me too! I always felt I couldn’t pull it off. But I realize a safe way to start is mixing washes (light over dark etc). Glad you liked your experiment, and thanks for stopping by!

Some great looks there! When I think of denim on denim I picture Justin Timberlake and Brittney Spears – just the picture you posted, lol!

  11. Denim is always classic, well except for that last picture :) Stopping by from SITS Blogging Comment Love. Nice to meet you!

  12. I am absolutely in love with Folake’s outfit. She is rocking that like a boss!

I’m finally just starting to get into the denim on denim look. I think some people can pull it off, but I’m having trouble trying to make it work for myself. I might have to give it a go after seeing some of these photos. This is clearly one of those styles that, if it’s done right, looks amazing, and if not…well you end up looking like those last two photos. lol.

    Thanks for sharing!

    • Hi Reese, thanks for stopping by! I totally agree with you. I realized mixing the washes have helped me a little bit. It tones it down a bit. Thanks for stopping by!

  13. You at least gotta give JT credit for going all in I guess 😉 Also, I love, love, love the denim shirt with white jeans look. If only I could wear white jeans without doing something ridiculous and ruining them!

  14. Wow, that is a lot of denim. This does go to show that there is a right and a wrong way of wearing denim-on-denim.

You have me cracking up with the pictures at the end of your post. I have done white denim paired with a chambray denim shirt. I have not tried the true denim on denim look. For some reason I don’t think I can pull it off. However, your pictures have inspired me to try this look.

  16. I do enjoy the look, though I don’t think I can pull it off. It’s one of those times where I love fashion but fashion doesn’t love me. LOL

  17. I love denim! I remember growing up in the 90s when everything was denim, and that’s definitely coming back. 90s fashion wasn’t my favorite, probably because I was a kid at the time and wasn’t all that impressed. Looking back, I totally appreciate it now!

    Stopping by from #SITSBlogging!

I wear denim on denim and I have leopard loafers too! Sometimes I wear my navy blazer from J Crew with pearls too. Thank you for the validation of style. Great blog! Visiting from SITS

  19. I love denim and denim. And the last two pic…lol.

  20. Denim is so fun, all of the models are working every look in each pic. Stopping by from SITS!

  21. I grew up in the 80s, so I know bad denim WELL. And since I had my babies, denim and I are not on the best terms. But I really love these looks above, and I’m hoping that training for a half marathon this year helps me get back in them comfortably … because you can’t beat a pair of great looking distressed jeans!

    • I am so in agreement with you. When I had my son, I had to take out ALL my old pairs and found a new pair. I ended with flares, because they help balance out the hips I gained with my son’s birth lol.

  22. Ewww is my first thought of denim on denim, but the first image in your post looks really stylish. I think it reminds me of this guy in a soap I used to watch called Brookside and he would wear same coloured denim all the time, which for me is a big no no.
The last image of the ‘denim human centipede’ had me in stitches laughing! 😀

  23. I finally found some levis that are perfect for me. Lovin denim! Great photos and I like the first outfit. Thanks, Wendy #sitsgirls

  24. My daughter recently told me about some American Eagle denim jeans she liked and so I went and bought two pair after I tried the on and loved them. I’m not one to spend much money on anything, but I will never go back to cheap denim jeans again. I didn’t know denim on denim was making a come back. Hmmm

    • I agree with you. I just did the same thing. I spent a little bit more to buy a pair of really comfortable jeans…and I know I will wear them for a long time. Yes they are, they are popping up all around.

I absolutely love the adore fashion look as well……….Finding cropped jeans for tall girls is always a challenge though. Read somewhere that tall girls have to stay away from cropped styles, but love the look!
